Is it really 2010??

Whew! Alot has happened in our little corner of the world the last few months. The endless amounts of activities for the little ones, Christmas doings, and a family loss have all coincided to cause us to lose focus on things. Well, no more!

We here at Slingflower will be ready for you to get back in the swing of things, too. Our first sling of the new year will be ready for delivery on February 12th, just in time for you all to bring some gorgeousness to your loved one for Valentine’s Day. Yes, we’re usually trying to be a bit unconventional, but this holiday deserves tradition. Roses will be our featured bouquet, and we hope you all find someone special who absolutely MUST have some of them!

Thank you for supporting us in our virgin year. We hope to make 2010 a banner year for helping you all bring joy and happiness to your friends and family. We truly appreciate our customers, and hope that you all have a happy, healthy, and adventuresome new year!

The boys behind “Behind the Menu” come out!

As a bit of a grassroots organization ourselves, we’re happy to help others when we can. And this Thursday, October 15th, is one of those times.

Our friends behind “Behind The Menu”, Mike Boss and Scott Nicholson, are having a coming-out party of sorts. Their site, Behind The Menu is going live that day. And to celebrate, there’s a big Boise Tweetup at Berryhill’s restaurant that evening. What a great way to help out a cause that’s so simple it’s brilliant– celebrating local eateries and flavor.

So head on over to Berryhill’s that day after work, partake in the yummy specials they’ll have there, and give a hearty congrats to Mike and Scott for all their hard work. Even if it is a passion, they still probably wouldn’t mind a little appreciation, too. :-)

Have you ever purchased something you were disappointed in? We certainly hope it’s never been any of our flowers! But, if it has been, we would like to hear about it. Around here, there is no excuse for droopy, moldy flower bouquets. They should be bright and just as promised.

There is only one way for us to get better, and make sure our customers are getting what they envisioned– tell us your experience. Good or bad, we need to know. That way we can make it right again, or glow in the warmth of your praise. Either way, it’s all good.

Ah, summer

Ah, summer. That wonderful time of year when the weather is amazing (if not a little hot sometimes), the kids are playing everyday with abandon, and even us adults feel a little more free.

We here at Slingflower have been hard at work bringing you the freshest flower bouquets around, and at one heck of a good price! We are so very grateful to each and every one of you who’ve ordered from us. You are the reason we exist, and you can help spread the word. Every time you send someone flowers that’s never heard of us, you help us to get the word out about how easy and affordable it is to send a little happiness to someone special.

Our next sling is almost ready for you. We can’t wait to get it posted! Amazingly, it’ll be the last sling of the summer. So don’t forget to spread some love by sending flowers. Our latest idea

We’re trying something new here, again. We’d love to help out all of you who think giving flowers regularly would be nice, but too much hassle. Well, think that no more! Slingflower is here!

We want to offer a monthly subscription. All you need to do is sign up, and we’ll take care of the monthly delivery, each and every month. You won’t even need to remember to visit our site, it’ll be automatic. Swell, huh?

There is one catch (isn’t there always?) We need 12 people to sign up in order to be able to offer this subscription at a reasonable price. So, if this sounds like something that’ll get you brownie points, send us an e-mail and let us know at hello@slingflower.com. While your typing, let us know if you want early in the week (Mon/Tues), or late in the week (Fri).
